Founded by husband-and-wife team Brandon and Taylor Sims, Sims Home is a Richmond-based renovation and design company dedicated to simplifying the renovation process for families to create beautiful, functional spaces meant for real life. Whether it’s a kitchen, bathroom, or a full home transformation, we take a hands-on approach from concept to completion—ensuring every project stays on budget and on schedule. With a focus on timeless aesthetics and modern touches, we’ve built a reputation for designing spaces that fit the way you live.
As a family-owned business, we’ve developed a step-by-step process that helps guide our clients through the renovation process to make it feel exciting + achievable without feeling overwhelming. Meet the founderS
THE SIMS
We are Taylor and Brandon Sims, the husband-and-wife team behind Sims Home. Our journey into home renovation + interior design started long before it became our full-time business. We met when we were just 16 and always shared a love for creating.
In the beginning, we flipped homes to fund our dream of starting a family, pouring everything we had into both our projects and multiple rounds of IVF. After seven long years, our world changed forever in 2017 when we welcomed our son, Leo— a dream come true. As we started to renovate + design homes, friends and family kindly passed our names along, and soon, our little passion project was no longer a sustainable side hustle. In 2019, we leaped and officially launched Love Sims Home full-time, evolving into Sims Home in 2025. Since then, we have been helping our clients create beautiful, functional homes designed for real life.
For us, great design is about more than just how a home looks— it’s about how it functions for your family. We believe in the details, creating a space that feels like you, and making the renovation process feel supportive and not intimidating. A well-designed home isn’t about perfection but being lived in, loved, and enjoyed.

INTERIOR DESIGN
Taylor, co-founder and CEO of Sims Home, is a self-made interior designer with a passion for creating spaces that seamlessly blend function and beauty. She attended the University of British Columbia but found her true calling in design, turning her love for transforming spaces into a thriving business.As the creative force behind Sims Home, Taylor oversees every design detail, working closely with Brandon and the team to bring each project to life. Her approach combines timeless elements with modern touches, layering textures, materials, and a neutral palette to create homes that feel both stylish and inviting. She believes a well-designed home should be beautiful, practical, and, most importantly, lived in.

Brandon Sims
CONTRACTOR
Brandon, co-founder of Sims Home, was born and raised in Richmond and attended Langara College after high school. A lifelong fan of rugby, golf, and (of course) Taylor, he has always had a passion for working with his hands—turning raw materials into something truly beautiful.As the head of Project Management and General Contracting, Brandon is the driving force behind Taylor’s designs, making sure every vision comes to life seamlessly. His sharp time management, budgeting expertise, and strong relationships with trades are key to keeping projects running smoothly. Sims Home thrives because of his ability to bring both structure and problem-solving abilities to every renovation.
